COMPOSITION:

Ceftiofur HCl …….… 5 000 mg
Special Solvent ………… 100 ml

Description:
Ceftiofur is a cephalosporin antibiotic with bactericidal activity against both gram-positive and gram- negative bacteria.
Indications:
For the treatment of bacterial infections in cattle and swine caused by micro-organisms susceptible to ceftiofur, especially:
– Cattle: bacterial respiratory disease associated with P. haemolytica, P. multocida & H. somnus; acute interdigital necrobacillosis (panaritium, foot rot) associated with F. necrophorum and B. melaninogenicus; bacterial component of acute post-partum (puerperal) metritis within 10 days of calving associated with E.coli, A. pyogenes & F. necrophorum, sensitive to ceftiofur.
– Swine: bacterial respiratory disease associated with H. pleuropneumoniae, P. multocida, S. choleraesuis & S. suis.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

For deep intramuscular.
– Swine: 1 ml per 15 – 20 kg body weight.
– Cattle: 1 ml per 30 – 40 kg body weight.
On 3 – 5 days.
Time to stop using the drug: before slaughter 3 days, milk extraction 0 days.
Contraindications:
Do not use for animals sensitive to the ingredients of the drug.
